how abstract can a landscape be?
This is a series of paintings exploring the idea of "how abstract can a landscape be?" I decided pretty quickly that, since many viewers try to see something in non-representational painting, all a painting really needs to be viewed as a landscape is a horizon line of some kind and/or some sense of space or atmosphere. With this series, I tried to see how far I could go toward complete non-representation while still refering to reality in some way, no matter how subtle.
